The group I’ve been watching Firefly with was apparently a book discussion club beforehand and is now back on books.  Based on an earlier recommendation to Jeff that he should read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, he recommended that we do it for the group discussion, which I’m pretty psyched about.  It’s one of my favorite books, perhaps my absolute favorite.

We had our first meeting discussing the book earlier tonight.  We talked about the first 4 chapters.  I was a little worried about some of the people who were at Firefly being a little closed minded about it and derailing the discussion.  They didn’t make it though so it we very enjoyable and we discussed everything I wanted to about those chapters and went off on some interesting tangents as well.  Everyone there was enjoying the book so far.  Really looking forward to more of these.

Anyone out there reading this blog who hasn’t read that book, you should really go read it.
